The Zagorje region does have some wines to be proud of

An opulent wine, with an excellent, complex scent and a lively, mineral and fresh taste. Karizma 2012 is a mixture of Cabernet Sauvignon (70 percent) and Merlot, by the Petrač winery from Hršak Breg near Krapinske Toplice. Wine Stars reviewers gave it four stars and Wine of the Week title, with a bottle costing 85 kuna in the Vintesa winery.

Three stars went to the tasty and at the same time fresh and ripe Pošip 2016 from the Bačić winery in Blato on Korčula Island (75 kuna in the winery) and the Opolo Nobile Rose 2016 by Andro Tomić from Hvar Island. It is made from Plavac and has a stronger colour than is common for pink wines, also full and complex. A bottle costs 67,49 kuna in Roto Dinamic. Competing was also the Pinot Gris 2016 of the Jagunić family from Plešivica (48 kuna in the winery).
